LABEL

In January 2004 the label KNISTERN from Hamburg, Germany, released its first single. The name KNISTERN - German for "to crackle" - is programmatic: on the one hand, a crackle is generated by the coming together of rock, electronic music, Neue Musik and jazz. On the other hand, the records are released on 7" vinyl.

"...a declaration of love to the vinyl medium." Bad Alchemy

"...there is currently no other project from the aesthetic space between comptemporary classical music and rock,
that crackles so much."
